During the "Transport Networks Russia 2018" international conference, the two companies shared a stand and took part in a roundtable discussion on "New Services and Opportunities of the Internet Exchange (IX) Partnership.” After the merger, the companies will operate using the GlobalNet infrastructure, which includes its own trunk communication lines on site in Moscow-St. Petersburg-Helsinki-Stockholm. One of the advantages for DataIX as a result of the merger will be the ability to deliver large amounts of traffic from western content generators and operators to Russia. As a result, Russian operators will improve their quality of communication with foreign platforms, including Telegram, Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Netflix, which, according to research, account for the bulk of cross-border traffic. The total length of the networks of the merged company is more than 7000 km, and the total carrying capacity of our external channels reaches 2 Tbit / s. The number of participants in the Internet Exchange point has increased to 400, of which 80% are communication operators, and 20% are content generators. The peak load of communication channels exceeded 3 Tbit / s. As a result, the company can provide its customers with 128 ports with a capacity of 100 Gbps each, and 1240 ports with a capacity of 10 Gbit / s. This makes it one of the largest telecommunication company in the world.
